John Clayton Boutwell

John Boutwell Mr. John Clayton (J.C.) Boutwell, 91, of Washington, died August 3, 2009 at his home.He was the son of the late John William and Janie Hattaway Boutwell, a native of Atkinson County, Georgia but had lived in Wilkes County for thirty three years.Mr. Boutwell was retired from Denard & Moore Construction Co. and had served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1942-1945.J.C. was a Master Mason Pastmaster 32, Corinthian Masonic Lodge no. 191, Mulberry, Florida and the Masonic Low Twelve Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Brad Hunter, son-in-law, Tim Wallace, five brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00am in the First Assembly of God, Lincolnton, Ga. with Pastor Terry Bonds officiating.The family will receive friends following the service. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Virginia Fulp Boutwell, of the home; sons and daughters in law, Jimmy and Clarice Boutwell, Lake City, FL and Michael and Brandy Bailey, Thomson; daughters and son in law, Sue Wallace, Bartow, Florida and Leigh Ann and Jeffrey Stachowiak, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren and spouses, Cheri and Kerry Lucas, Texas, Tammy and Sam Hall, FL, Paige and Barry Sessions, FL, Dean and Judy Stavely, FL, Ty Stavely, California, Cameron Bailey, of the home, Sophia Stachowiak, FL, and Victoria Stachowiak, FL; great grandchildren, Brian Lucas, Kevin Lucas, Kyle Stavely, Devin Stavely, Dylan Sessions and Darby Sessions; 6 sisters in law; and 3 brothers in law.
