Joe Dillard Noggle

Mr. Joe Dillard Noggle, Sr., 93, of Crawfordville, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.Mr. Noggle was born in Sharon, and had lived in Taliaferro County all of his life.He was the son of the late William Newton Noggle and Nina Eley Noggle, and was the husband of Shirley Ray Noggle.He was a self-employed mechanic during his working life, and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Jimmy Waters Brotherhood, and of the South Liberty Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder, and heproudly served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley R. Noggle, of Crawfordville; one son, Dr. Joe Dillard Noggle, Jr.(Pat), of Mt. Airy; one daughter, Jan N. Callaway (Larry), of Rayle; six grandchildren, Dillard Noggle III (Xan), Parker Callaway, Dr. Loren Noggle (Lindsey), Abby C. McGarr, Ashley Kendrick (Kris), and Corey Noggle; six great grandchildren, Caleb Callaway, Landon Noggle, Jack Noggle, Aniston McGarr, Mitchell Noggle and John Noggle and by one sister, Regina Noggle Darden (Hiram), of La Grange. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the South Liberty Presbyterian Church in Sharon with Bob Anderson, Rev. Reggie Haslett, and Rev. John Autry officiating. Mr. Noggle will lie in state at the church for one hour (from 2:00 until 3:00) prior to the service.Interment will follow in the Sharon Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dillard Noggle III, Parker Callaway, Dr. Loren Noggle, Corey Noggle, Kris Kendrick, and Jeffery Darden. The family will receive friends at the Noggle home in Crawfordville.
