Mr. Jesse Lee “Peanut” Goldman, Jr., 58, of Washington, GA entered into rest, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.A native of Augusta, GA, he was the son of Jesse Lee and Shirley Manders Goldman.Mr. Goldman had worked in construction for the past 40 years.He was a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 24th at 2:00pm in Phillips Mill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Norman Bell officiating. Cameron Bell, Greg Scott, Richard McAvoy, Donald Gunter, Grant Chafin, Whit Chafin, Miles Chafin, Levi Scott ad Mark Tench will serve as pallbearers.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dave Baldwin, Martin Cochran, Jon Craig, Clay Hall, Jerry Hall, Ray Holmes, David Jordan, Truitt Matthews, Eric Schlein, Tony Schlein, Jerry Trambell and Lawton Wylds. Peanut leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Debra McAvoy Goldman; sons and daughter in law, Jeremy and Lacey Goldman of Washington, Joshua Goldman of Washington and Kyle Goldman of Columbus, GA; parents, Jesse and Shirley Goldman of N. Augusta, SC; two sisters, Debra (Norman) Bell, of Montgomery, AL; and Yvette Goldman of N. Augusta, SC;grandson, Hayden Goldman and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
