Jerry Tippins

Washington:Mr. Jerry Victor Tippins, 77, of the Danburg Rd., died Saturday, December 26, 2009, at his home. Mr. Tippins was born in Daytona Beach, FL, and had lived in Washington for about 5 years.He was a Chief Master Sargeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and retired from the U.S. Air Force.He was the son of the late Victor Frank Tippins and Nancy Bertha Malcom Tippins.He was a member of the Pathway Community Church in Washington. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 3:00 at Hopkins Funeral Home.Interment with Full military honors will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Tippins is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Tippins, of the home; three daughters, Debbie (Jim) Sutton, of Ft. Worth, TX; LeAnne (Dennis) Sims, of Florala, AL, and Vicki (Tom) Burk, of Washington;two brothers, John (Sylvia) Tippins, of Las Vegas, NV, and Dan (Sarah) Tippins, of Daytona Beach, FL; eleven Grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God’s Marketplace, c/o First United Methodist Church, 100 W.
