Jean Taylor Godsey

Mrs. Jean Taylor Godsey, 72, of Washington, died December 15, 2012 in St. Mary’s Hospital.A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Greene and Winnie McDaniel Taylor.Mrs. Godsey was retired from the City of Washington where she worked as Dispatch Operator. A Memorial service will be Tuesday at 4:00pm at Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Jacqueline Johnson officiating. Survivors include daughter Winnie Godsey Martin and husband, Tommy, of Lincolnton; sons, Bryan Godsey and Teri Eno, of Washington and Steve Godsey, of Washington; grandchildren, Emily Martin Norman and husband, Blanchard, of Lincolnton, Trent Thomas Martin, of Athens and Stephen Godsey, Jr. of Washington; sister, Joan T. Nicholson, of Crawfordville; Brothers, Charlie A. Taylor, of Crawfordville and Robert ‘Bobby’ Taylor, of Gaston, S.C. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
