Janis F. Bailey Augusta:Ms. Janis Florence Bailey, 84, of Northwood Rd., passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at her home. Ms. Bailey was born in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Alex Burch Florence and Dollie Walker Florence.She was the widow of Mr. Robert Lee Bailey, and was the first ever female manager at a Woolworth Store.She was a member of the National Hills Baptist Church in Augusta. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly B. Beddingfield (Elwyn), of Martinez, and Ellen Leonforte, N. Augusta, SC; two brothers, Alex Florence (Patty), of Stapleton, and Lester Florence, of Dearing; one sister, Vera Florence Hagler (Danny) of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Dawn L. Galloway, Gary Beddingfield, Jan B. Embry, Amy L. Newton, and Eric Beddingfield; and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Beulah Baptist Church in Tignall with Rev. Kevin Steele officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Pallbearers will be Gary Beddingfield, Eric Beddingfield, Trey Galloway, Tim Galloway, Jackson Embry, and Garric Embry.
