Janet Marie Patrick Mcdade

September 7, 1946 — February 5, 2025

Janet Marie Patrick McDade, aged 78, of Crawfordville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at Harper’s Personal Care Home. Born on September 7th, 1946, in Miami, Florida, Janet lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community.

Raised by her beloved parents, Lewis Joseph Patrick and Mary Elizabeth Patrick, who preceded her in death, Janet grew up with a strong sense of family and commitment. She completed her high school education. For twelve years, she worked as a waitress at the cherished Cuscowilla at Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia, where she was known for her warm smile and welcoming nature.

A devoted member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church, Janet’s faith was an integral part of her life. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing stories, and creating cherished memories. Janet was also an avid angler, often found at her pond, fishing and enjoying the tranquility of nature.

Janet is survived by her loving children, Linda Watson (Rick) of Crawfordville, Georgia, and Ronald Shane McDade (Deanna) of Littleton, Colorado. She was a cherished grandmother to Rosie Norris, Samantha Esser, Kobe McDade, Tyson Solie, and Bryce Solie, and a devoted great-grandmother to Kaylin Dunn, Gracie Norris, Brooke Esser, Bryer Norris, Jake Wahl, Livvie Allen, Zack Wahl, Sophia Solie, JaeSun Mack, Dustin Mack and Jonathon Mack. Janet also had the joy of being a great-great-grandmother to Vyrra Diaz and Mia Diaz.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services are planned. Her family will honor her memory by scattering her ashes in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia, a place she held dear to her heart.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, continuing Janet’s legacy of care and compassion for others.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hopkins Funeral Home, where her memory will forever be cherished.
