James Kenneth Purdy

Mr. James Kenneth Purdy, age 91, of Rayle, Georgia, formerly of Berea, Ohio, passed away September 24, 2023 at Echols Personal Care Home in Rayle. Mr. Purdy was born in Glenmont, Ohio on October 27, 1931 to Lawrence and Grace Bell Purdy and married Donna Young.

Mr. Purdy was a Minister of the Gospel, having received a Master of Divinity degree and was a member of Olmsted Christian Church. He was an Air Force Veteran, who served in the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, Donna, Mr. Purdy is survived by three sons; Kenneth (Debbie) Purdy, Ohio, Timothy Purdy, Florida,; and Adam (Marie) Purdy, Ohio; four daughters: Teresa (Larry) Bade, Ohio, Connie (Doug) Bowen, Florida, Heidi (Roy) Ferrini, Ohio and Haley (Keith) Makowski, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

There will be no local services.
