James Larry Lamar

Maxeys:Mr. James L. (Larry) Lamar, Jr., died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the Gwinnett County Medical Center. Mr. Lamar was born in Wilkes County and had lived there most of his life.He was the husband of BreAnna Yearwood Lamar, and was the son of Jane Vaughn Osborn and of the late Larry Lamar, Sr.He was a foreman in the construction industry. Graveside services will be Monday, April 19, 2010, at 11:00am at the Washington- Wilkes Memorial Garden with Allen Danner officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Jordan, Shane Lamar, Jody Arnold, Michael Vaughn, Terry Osborn, and Kelly Armour.Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Class of 2003, and members of the 2003 Tiger Baseball Team. Larry is survived by his wife, BreAnna Y. Lamar, and daughter, Rilyn Lamar, both of Maxeys; his mother, Jane V. (Terry) Osborn, of Rayle; one brother, Michael Vaughn, of Colorado Springs, CO; father-in-law, Brent Yearwood, of Marion, NC; mother-in-law, Sandra Harden, of Maxeys; and three half-sisters, Joani Norman, Lori Lamar, and Naomi Wilson. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rilyn Lamar Education Trust Fund, 269 Lovers Lane, Union Point, GA30669.
