Jack D. Davis Mr. Jack D. Davis, 84, of Washington, passed away at the VA Facility on Wrightsboro Rd. in Augusta, on April 11, 2015. Mr. Davis had lived in Washington for most of his life. He was the son of the late Paul Davis and Louise Cofield Davis. He was a heavy equipment operator for nineteen years at Continental Can. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Martha S. Davis, of the home; one daughter, Jackie D. Harrington, of Athens; two sons, Don Davis (Kathy), of Danielsville and Phil Davis (Sonya), of Carlton; four grandchildren, Ashley Harrington, Alicia Adams, Amanda Thornton and Paul Davis; five great grandchildren, Dakota, Colton, and Kaytlin Thornton,and Kyla and Jackson Davis. Also surviving is one sister, Paulette D. Collins, of Gainesville. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Davis. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Washington Wilkes Memorial Garden with Rev. Zack Hawks and Rev. Dereck Paul officiating.
