Irene Franklin Christy

Irene Christy Mrs. Lottie Irene Franklin Christy, 86, of Villa Rica, died August 19, 2013 at her home.A native of Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Evie Seymour Franklin.Mrs. Christy was a retired Secretary, having worked for Shulton Industries, Associated Grocers and Colonial Stores.She grew up in County Line Baptist Church.After graduating high school, she went to Business College, and lived in the Atlanta area for many years. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 24th at 2:00pm in County Line Baptist Church with Sister Joyce Wilkinson officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Tina Christy Shears, of Villa Rica; two sons, Robert Christy and his wife, Susan, of Williamson and Tim Christy, of Griffin; one great grandson, Tim Smith, of Villa Rica; one great granddaughter, Katelin Christy, of Griffin; one sister, Betty Hammond, of Mineral Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to County Line Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
