Mr. Ira Quincy Tiller, Jr., 76, of Lincolnton Rd., entered into rest Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Pruitt Healthcare Facility.Mr. Tiller was a native of Summerville, SC, and had lived in Washington for about 50 years.He was the son of the late Ira Q. Tiller, Sr. and Agnes McKenzie Tiller.He was a GMC graduate, and went on to Forestry School at the University of Georgia, where he earned his forestry degree.Ira was a member of Gideons International and of the Georgia Forestry Association, and was a member of the Tignall Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Frances Jackson Tiller, of Washington; two sons, Keith Tiller, and wife Katrina, of Warner Robins, and Quincy Tiller III, and wife Jessica, of Kennesaw; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris King officiating.Interment will follow at the Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.There will be a visitation Tuesday at Hopkins Funeral Home for one hour prior to the funeral service (1p.m.--2p.m.). Pallbearers will be Keith Tiller, Quincy Tiller, Jeff Franklin, Dee Thornton, Mack Winfrey and Benji McAvoy. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the local chapter of Gideons International.
