Hugh M. Teems

Mr. Hugh M. Teems, 87, of Long Rd.in Tignall, passed away Sunday evening at the Nancy Hart Nursing Home in Fortsonia. Mr. Teems was a native of Tignall and had lived there all of his life.He was the son of the late William Robert and Nannie Belle Smith Teems, had worked at both ALMAR and the Royal Manufacturing Company for a number of years.He was a member of the Tignall Baptist Church. He is survived by one sister, Gertrude T. Long, of Tignall, and by a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Teems, William Teems, and Roy Teems, and by three sisters, Elizabeth T. Callaway, Pauline T. Parker, and Lois T. Savage. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Thursday, April 11, 2019, at the Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Barry McAvoy officiating.Interment will follow in the Tignall Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon at the church from 3:00pm until 3:50pm (just prior to the service).
