Hilda C. McCarty Mrs. Hilda Cook McCarty, 77, of 2623 Lundburg Rd., died Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 519 N. By-PassWest, in Washington. Mrs. McCarty was a native of McDuffie County, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Newsome Pettit.She was the widow of Bobby McCarty, and was retired from Kingsley Mill/Milliken in Thomson, GA.She was a member of the Washington Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Friday, January 8, 2016, at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Kohlhagen officiating. Pallbearers will be Tyler McGill, Robert McGill, Patrick McCarty, Axyl McCarty, Ricky McCarty, and Crayton Young. Mrs. McCarty is survived by three sons, Robert McCarty, Thomas McCarty, and David (Cindy) McCarty, all of Washington; two daughters, Angela (Peyton) McGill, and Kimberley Simpson, both of Washington; two isters, Judy Pettit of Memphis TN, and Gail Belcher, of Augusta; eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Presbyterian Church.
