Hilda Jane Hood

Mrs. Hilda Jane Sanford Hood, 61, of 3644 Bates Rd. in Crawfordville, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Hood was born in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was the daughter of the late L. V. and Ruthie Campbell Sanford, and had worked as a daycare worker.She was of the Baptist Faith. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Sterling Community in Tuscaloosa County, AL. She is survived by her husband, James Larry Hood, of Crawfordville; three sons, Scott Farley, Richmond, VA, Fabian Hood, Arlington, TX, and Brandon Simpson, of Lawrenceville; one daughter, Anitra Kirby, of Monroe; four brothers, Roy Sanford, of Woodstock, andJohn Sanford, Billy Sanford, and Dennis Sanford, all of Tuscaloosa, AL; one sister, Patsy DeLauro, Saltillo, MS; and fourteen grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, or to any chapter of the American Cancer Society..
