Henry Norris Ware

Mr. Henry Norris Ware, 81, of Hill St., passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at his home. Mr. Ware was born in Tignall and had lived most of his life in Wilkes County.He was the son of the late Sim and Wilma Bradford Ware, and was the husband of Frances Evans Ware. He was a member of the Washington First Baptist Church, was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, and delivered Meals on Wheels lunches for 25 years.He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Ware is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances E. Ware, of Washington; one daughter, Pam W. Hall (Boyce), of Rayle; two sons, Dean Ware (Crystal), of Tignall, and Todd Ware (Teri), of Monroe; eight grandchildren, Lindley H. Callaway, Avery Hall, Blake Ware, Charlton Ware, Gracen Ware, Brandon Ware, Daniel Ware, and Zachary Ware; and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Joann W. McKinney(Wayne), of Hephzibah; and two brothers, Gary Ware (Ann), of Wadley, and Johnny Ware (Donna), of Athens. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the First Baptist Church with Mr. Ware’s son Todd Ware delivering the eulogy.The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:30 until the time of the service.The Friendship Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
