Henry Thomas Armour

Mr. Henry Armour, 77, of Rayle, died August 9, 2011 in The V.A. Medical Center in Augusta.He was a native of Rayle, the son of the late Vernon Adolphus and Willie Mae Hubbard Armour.Mr. Armour was a retired self- employed truck driver.He served in the U.S. Navy. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00am in the Carter’s Grove Baptist Church with military honors at the grave. Rev. Albert Huyck will officiate.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Debra A. Barnes, Wyoming, Linda Armour, Phoenix, AZ and Cheryl Brookover, Rochester, NY; one son, Vernon Armour, San Diego, CA; significant other of 24 years, Sandra Burksaze, of Rayle; two step-sons, Chris Crouch, Rayle, Jimmy Crouch, San Diego, CA; one step-daughter, Kimberly Crouch, Rayle; three sisters, Dot Moore, Washington, Mae Lou Pasnak, Alton, NY and Kathleen Armour, Lexington; two brothers Horace Armour, Lexington and Smokey Hubbard, Aiken, SC; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 9:00a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.A. Medical Center, G.P.F. 8010, Charlie Norwood Medical Center,1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA30904.This is a fund to assist veterans during their hospital stay who may not have family nearby.
