Helen S. Truitt

Mrs. Helen Shedd Truitt, 83, of Tignall, died Tuesday morning, August 11, 2015, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Truitt was born in Westminister, SC, and had lived in the community for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Heppie OwensShedd, and was the widow of Alfred Truitt.She was a member of Independence United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, August 14, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Tignall Independence United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Walker officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Truitt Driggers. Mrs. Truitt is survived by one son, James (Al) Truitt, of Tignall; two sisters, Margie S. Thurmond, of Washington and Martha S. Davis, of Washington; two brothers, Johnny Shedd, of Rayle, and Bobby Shedd, of Hampton; three grandchildren, Jeff Driggers, Jessica Truitt and Eric Truitt; and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hopkins Funeral Home Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
