Helen Beasley

Ms. Helen Beasley, 77, of Sherwood Dr. in Washington, entered into rest on February 14, 2023, at Tignall House Assisted Living.

Ms. Beasley was born in Elberton and was a daughter of the late Mack and Lovis Hanvey Beasley. She had lived in Elberton all of her life, except for the last five and a half years that she lived in Washington.  She was a retired sales clerk,, and had worked at Roses Department Store for 14 years, at Autolite for another 14 years, and at WalMart for 18 years.  She was a longtime member of the Northside Baptist Church in Elberton.

She is survived by two brothers, Eddie Beasley, and wife Jackie, of Charleston, SC, and Lamar Beasley, and wife Brenda, of Calhoun Falls, SC; one sister, Sara Beasley Long, of Washington; three nephews, Michael Beasley, Richard Beasley, and Matthew Beasley; and five nieces, Chantal Smith, Nicole Franklin, Kristy White, Shelley Bailey, and Bridgette Venable.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Sunday, February 19, 2023, in the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Woods officiating.  Interment will follow at 4:00pm at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at Hopkins Funeral Home.
