George F. Wideman

George F. Wideman Mr. George F. Wideman, of Columbus Granade Rd., died December 23, 2015 at Georgia Regents University. Mr. Wideman was born in Wilkes County and was the son of Renee Watson Wideman and Susie Truitt Wideman..He was the husband of Anne Hester Wideman, and was a member of the Clark Station Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Wideman. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday morning, December 26, 2015, with Rev. Carl Neubaum officiating.Burial will follow at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Newtown Baptist Church. Mr. Wideman is survived by his wife, Anne H. Wideman, of Washington; two sons, David Wideman (CJ), and James Wideman (Sue), of Rayle; by one brother, Thomas “Buddy” Wideman, of Rayle; four sisters, Annie Lee Wideman Fleming, of Rayle ,Eva Mae Wideman Stratton, of Colbert, Allene Wideman Moon (George), of Washington, and Mary Wideman Davis (Perry), of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Kevin Tracy Wideman, Laura Elizabeth Wideman, Jessica Courtwright, Watson Wideman, Matthew Wideman, and Alan Hardy.
