Gena Thaxton

Miss Gena Allen Thaxton, 84, of Orchard St. in Washington,died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Wills Memorial Hospital. Miss Thaxton was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Luther B. and Berta Jackson Thaxton.She was a seamstress at Royal Manufacturing Co./Delta Apparel for 54 years, and was a member of the County Line Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Friday, December 24, 2010, at 3:00 at the County Line Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Danny Holdredge and Rev. Terry Kenney officiating. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8at Hopkins Funeral Home.
