Frank Blackburn

Mr. Frank Blackburn, 75, of Metasville Rd. in Washington, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at University Hospital. Mr. Blackburn was born in Lincoln County and was the husband of Joyce Burkhalter Blackburn.He was the son of the late Jim and Alma Finley Blackburn.He was a retired truck driver, and drove for C. E. Minerals for more than twenty years.He was a member of the Rehoboth Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 2:00 at the Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Rayner and Dr. Leonard Dupree officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Don Blackburn, Willie Frank Blackburn, Jimmy toto, Roy Blackburn, Jay Guin and Thomas Guin will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Blackburn is survived by his wife, Joyce B. Blackburn, of the home; two sons, Marvin (Dana) Blackburn, of Washington, and Eddie Blackburn, of Washington; daughters, Lisa (Ricky) Stevens, of Washington, Mary (Roger) LaDow, of Thomson and Lemar Toto (Jimmy) of Washington; one brother, Luther (Fanny) Blackburn, of Lincolnton; and sevengrandchildren.
