Frances "Dolly" Mclarty

Mrs. Frances “Dolly” Matthews McLarty, 98 of Anderson, SC, formerly of Harlem, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 in NHC Healthcare Anderson.She was a native of Lincolnton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Eugenia Gill Matthews.Mrs. McLarty was a homemaker and a member of First UMC of Washington and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Loyd “Chick” McLarty and Kenneth McLarty; one son, Loyd McLarty; five sisters, Mamie Denard, Eunice Denard, Jessie “Betty” Hopkins, Elise Walton and Hazel Ware; and three brothers, Nathan Matthews, Willie Neal Matthews and Robert Hugh Matthews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 22nd at 2:00pm in Anthony’s Chapel UMC with Rev. David Bohling officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include nephew, Bobby Matthews and his wife, Cornelia of Anderson, SC and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the church, Sunday, prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm until service time.
