Evelyn Clark Waters

Evelyn Clark Waters, 77, formerly of Orangeburg, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1946 in Washington, Georgia to Walter N. Clark, Jr. and Mary Helen Corry.

Evelyn was a secretary for multiple construction businesses. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and was of the Presbyterian faith. Those who knew Evelyn will remember her as a kind and loving soul, a woman who approached every person with a gentle heart and open mind.

She is survived by her son, John Vince “Jay” Waters III (Jeffrey); brothers, Eugene C. Clark (Elizabeth) and David Raymond Clark (Peggy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, John Vince “JV” Waters, Jr.

A Celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Washington Presbyterian Church, 206 E. Robert Toombs Avenue, Washington, GA 30673.
