Ms. Eva Ann Griffin Burdette, 78, of Greensboro Rd., passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at University Hospital in Augusta. Ms. Burdette was a native of Washington and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Joseph Augustus Griffin and Eliza Gladys Hackney Griffin, and was the widow of Mr. Walter Edward Burdette, Jr.Eva retired from Farmers and Merchants Bank after working 32 years as a loan officer and bank Vice President.She served on the Board at the Mary Willis Library, and was a member at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she served as church Treasurer for a number of years, and also served there as a Sunday School teacher. She is survived by one daughter, Kaye Bufford, and husband Bill, of Lincolnton; two sons, Ed Burdette III, and wife Teresa, of Washington, and Bill Burdette, and wife Mary Elizabeth, of Washington; one sister, Bettye G. Duke, and husband Richard, of Louisville, Kentucky; and by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Burdette, and by her brother, Joe Griffin, Jr. Graveside services will be 11:00am Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev.
