Ernest Wilson Kennedy

Mr. Ernest Wilson Kennedy, Jr., 76, of Rayle, died Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Athens. Mr. Kennedy was born in Washington, GA.He was the son of Ernest Wilson Kennedy and Susie Lee Maxwell Kennedy, and was the widower of Emogene Cook Kennedy.After 38 years with CSX Railroad, he moved back to Rayle to retire. Mr. Kennedy is survived by one daughter, Lisa Anne Kennedy Broward, of Rayle; one son, Tripp Kennedy, Rayle; two sisters, Mary Frances Davis, of Lawrenceville, and Peggy Parrish, of Stone Mountain; four grandchildren, Candace Marie Broward, Brianne Elise Broward, Max Kennedy, and Zack Kennedy; and threegreat grandchildren, Gavin William Hughes,Jasmine Elise Hughes and Mason Alexander Smith. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, October 21, 2016, at the County Line Baptist Church in Rayle. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Max Kennedy, Zack Kennedy, Eddie Walker, Page Walker, Clay Walker, and Chris Cutsail. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7–9 at Hopkins Funeral Home.
