Ms. Eloisa Heredia, 96, of Washington, entered into rest on Monday, Septmber 25, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Ms. Heredia was born in Santa Cruz de Cajamarca, Peru, to Lizardo Heredia and Leonilda Vera. She has been a part of our community since 1989, and was a homemaker, a job and responsibility that she took to heart. She was a dedicated and loving mother, gave her life to her family, and felt like this was her reason for being on this earth. She was an active and dedicated member of the Augusta Spanish-American Seventh Day Adventist Church, as she was a Seventh Day Adventist in Peru as well, and was also a Deaconess. She had a love for flowers and gardening and was quite good at it. She was said to have had a green thumb. Eloisa cared for several nieces and nephews as if they were her own, as she was always willing to help anyone with a need. She felt like this was her calling.
Eloisa was preceded in death by the love her life and the father of her children, Victor Alberto Linares Abad; her two brothers, Artemio Santa Cruz and Juan Isique Vera.
She is survived by her Wilkes County family of one daughter, Carmen Young, of Washington; two sons, Alejandro Linares, and Victor A. Linares, and wife Vicki, all of Washington; her two grandchildren from Washington, Georgia, Brandon and Emily Linares, and her seven grandchildren from Lima, Peru, Jean Pierre, Paola, Andre, Carlos, Rolando, Jonathan, and Katherine Linares Carrasco.
