Mrs. Elizabeth D. Young, 91, of Thomson, passed away July 15, 2014 at her home.A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Forsyth and Fannie Mae Scott Danner. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Marvin Lankford and Frank Easler; brother, Billy Danner and grandson, Charlie Lunceford.She was a member of First Baptist Church Washington and retired from Royal Manufacturing after 46 years of employment. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 18th at 11:00am in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. W.C. Bentley officiating. Survivors include husband, John W. Young; daughters and son in law, Joyce L. and Harold Holloway, of Washington and Dorothy L. Lunceford, of Texas; brother, Thomas Danner and his wife, Toye, of Haddock, GA; grandchildren, Barry Holloway and wife, Julia Anne and Julie Lunceford; great grandchildren, Tiffanie Standard, Lacey Goldman, Deanne Holloway, Ashlyn and Allysa Holley, Breanna Larwa, Kailly Tavera, Nickolas Tavera and Ryan Lunceford; great, great grandchildren, Hayden Goldman, Dillyn Standard and Carley Holloway. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 – 8pm at the funeral home. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Mrs. Young’s sitters, Lisa Cantey, Tracey Ferrell and Theresa Small for all of the loving care they gave Mrs. Young.
