Elizabeth “Bunny” Woodruff Gunby, 73, of Thomson Rd., died Monday, December 28, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Gunby was born in Washington, and lived here most of her life.She was the daughter of the late Joe and Louise Bennett Woodruff, was a graduate of the University of Georgia, and was a retired math teacher.Bunny will be remembered for many things, but certainly for her willing spirit to help others in any way she could, and for her love of family and horses.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she helped in so many capacities. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday morning, January 2, 2015, at the Washington First United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Hall and Rev. John Barnes officiating.The family will receive friends Saturday in the church Fellowship Hall from 10:00am until the time of the service. Mrs. Gunby is survived by her husband, Eugene C. Gunby, of Washington; three step children, Cooper Gunby (Rachel), of Anderson, SC; , Terry G. Bowers (Mark), of Madison, and Gloria G. Thompson (Bruce), of Thomson; one god-daughter, April Welch (James), of Clinton, TN; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
