Elizabeth Denard Mrs. Elizabeth Anthony Denard, 77, of Washington, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her home.A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith Williamson Anthony.Mrs. Denard was a homemaker and co-proprietor, with her husband, of the Washington Food Market.She was a member of Danburg Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel Denard and a son in law, Alan Poss. Graveside services will be Monday at 11:00am in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Ficklen Guinn officiating.Jack Bentley, Grant Fanning, Gregory Denard, Len Poss, Will Bentley and Ben Bentley will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include her husband, Randall Denard; sons and daughters in law, Greg and Judy Denard, Washington, Glenn and Jennifer Denard, Lavonia and John & Jen Denard, Naples FL; daughters and sons in law, Kathy Poss, Washington, Angie and Jack Bentley, Tignall and Julie and Grant Fanning, Suwanee; 14 grandchildren, Gregory (Ashley) Denard, Bonnie (Jason) Hunnicutt, Lauren (David) Bridges, Heather Denard, Adrienne Denard, Eli Denard, Owen Denard and Emma Grace Denard, Amanda (Alan) Battles, Len (Susan) Poss, Will (Kimberly) Bentley, Ben (Casie Jo) Bentley, Jonathan and Randall Fanning;and 10 great grandchildren, Aiden and Lucy Bridges, Henry Hunnicutt, Ruth and Boyd Chafin, Jake Poss, Will and Kathryn Battles and J.W. & Ellie Bentley; brother, Gene (Linda) Anthony; sisters, Jane Anderson, Becky (Melvin) Tucker and Pat (Charlie) Griffin. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Danburg Baptist Church.
