Elizabeth H. Bunch

Elizabeth Diane Hoffman Bunch, a lifelong resident of Washington, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on February 2nd,1952, to the late Aage Hoffman and Gladys Hoffman. Elizabeth lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.

Elizabeth attended Augusta State College with a 47- year career at Farmers and Merchants Bank. She was known for her integrity and commitment. Her tenure at the bank was marked by the lifelong connections she nurtured with colleagues and customers alike.

Elizabeth and Tommy’s home was always open for Bible Studies to encourage believers as they established their Faith in Christ and shared the Gospel to unbelievers.  Elizabeth and Tommy poured their love for Christ throughout the community and at Washington Bible Chapel.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Tommy H Bunch, Jr.; her loving daughter Audrea Ezzell, and her husband Bazz of Loganville, Ga; her cherished sister Judy Denard, her husband Greg Denard of Washington, Ga; her dear brother Dicky Hoffman, and his wife Carol of Mountain City, Ga. She also survived by her treasured grandchildren, Anna Hill and her husband Matthew, William Ezzell, Noah Ezzell, Maggie Ezzell, Owen Ezzell, and her precious great-grandchildren Everleigh Hill and Abner Hill.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Hoffman, and by her son Jon Bunch, whose memories she carried dearly in her heart.

Funeral services to honor Elizabeth’s life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with David Hollingsworth, Luke Urban and Chris Goodson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Family and Friends are welcome for visitation at Hopkins Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on the day of the service.

Serving as pallbearers are William Ezzell, Bazz Ezzell, Noah Ezzell, Owen Ezzell, Matthew Hill and Greg Denard, who will carry Elizabeth to her final resting place with love and respect.
