Elaine English Jackson

Mrs. Marie Elaine Jackson, 74, of Washington, Ga., entered into rest on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at her home.

Mrs. Jackson was born on May 7, 1948, in Atlanta, Ga., to the late James Marvin English and Abbie Inez Allen English.  Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Tignall Independence United Methodist Church, where she volunteered and played the piano.  She had a lifelong passion and love for horses.  She also enjoyed watching UGA football with her grandson Matthew.

Survivors include three daughters, Wendy Schmitt (Kai), of Winston- Salem, N .C., Carrie Cranwill, Newton, N.C., and Kristy Armour (Chris), of Shelton, WA; four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Independence United Methodist Church in Tignall, GA with Reverend Dr. Gale Seibert and Rich Seibert officiating.
