Edna Earle Philyaw Jones

Edna Earle Philyaw Jones, of Rayle, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023.

Edna was born in Kinston, North Carolina to the late Leroy Philyaw and Frances Hill Philyaw.

A faithful Christian, Edna loved her church, Faith Fellowship in Kinston.  She will be remembered for her love of her family, for her love of gardening, and for talents as a seamstress.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gwen Jones Winfrey (Jeff) of Rayle and Jackie Jones Smith (Chip) of Hickory, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Jessica Albritton (Eric), Lori Hall (Will Wray), Alicia Kirk, and Arrington Nevitt (Brad); five great grandchildren, Natalie, Kyle, Kaiden, Addisyn, and Keegan; and brother and sisters, Gail Mitchell, Mike Philyaw, Kim Brinson, and Terri Philyaw.  She is also survived by her beloved church family.

Edna was preceded in death by her brothers, Gilbert Philyaw and Kevin Philyaw.

A celebration of life service will take place at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Faith Fellowship Church in Kinston, North Carolina.
