Edna Blakey

Pending Edna H. Blakey Tignall:Mrs. Edna Harper Blakey, 87, of 214 Church St., died Friday, January 3, 2014, at Heritage Health Care in Washington. Mrs. Blakey was born in Tignall, GA, and had lived in Wilkes County all of her life.She was the widow of Roy Blakey, Jr., and was the daughter of the late John Will Harper and Sara Rhodes Harper.She was a homemaker and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 9, 2013, at 3:00pm at Beulah Baptist Church.Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Terry Blakey, of Grovetown, and Jeff Blakey (Tena), of Washington; one daughter, Kaye Blakey, of Tignall; one brother, James Harper (Vera), Tignall; 7 grandchildren, Richard Maust, Isabelle Blakey, Braxton Blakey, Nichole B. Davis, Laurie L. Harbin, Christy Lee, and Jamie L. Greenway; two brothers-in-law, Charles Blakey and Bobby Blakey; and two sisters-in-law, Lois Flynt and Ethel Harper.
