Edmund Walter Leroy

Mr. Edmund Walter LeRoy, Sr, 88, of Scaly Mountain, N.C., died March 14, 2010.He was a native of Tignall, Georgia, the son of the late Edmund Reid and Kate Wagner LeRoy, and widow of Jeanelle Wood LeRoy. After leaving Tignall, Mr. LeRoy resided in Augusta, Atlanta, Macon, Darien and for the past six years, in Scaly Mountain. Mr. LeRoy was retired from Yancey Brothers as Service Manager. He was a member of Tignall Baptist Church and the George Walton Masonic Lodge in Augusta, GA.He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:00am in Tignall Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating and military honors. Survivors include one son, Edmund W. LeRoy, Jr.; one daughter, Patricia L. Leaptrot and husband, Mark; grandson, Andrew M. Leaptrot and wife, Leah; great grandson, Avery M. Leaptrot; and one sister, Betty Langford and husband, Charles.
