Eddie Lee Combs

Mr. Eddie Lee Combs, 72, of Nunn Rd. in Crawfordville, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Harper’s Personal Care Home in Washington.

Mr. Combs was born on October 30, 1949 to Mr. Dorsey Combs and Hazel King Combs.  He had lived in this community for all of his life.  He worked as an inspector for the Department of Agriculture and was a long time member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Brandon Combs, of Crawfordville; one sister, June Smith (Ed), of Washington; one brother, Doug Combs (Mackie), of Appling; two grandchildren, Will Combs and Harper Combs; one sister-in-law, Linda Combs, of Grovetown; and special friend, Betty Beard, of Washington.  He was preceded in death by a son, Brad Combs, and by a brother, Clay Combs.

Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Phillips Mill Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Woods officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service (from 1:00-2:00p.m.)

Pallbearers will be Robbie Newsome, Steve Power, Charles Waller, Shane Wood, Jason Combs, and J.T. Smith.
