Mr. Earl Raymond Leavenworth, 68, of Winton Lane in Washington, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at his home. Mr. Leavenworth was born in Highland Park, MI, and had lived in Washington for 15 years.He was the son of Nettie Grace Shuttleworth Leavenworth and of the late J. Bine Leavenworth.He was a retired welder and barber, and was a member of the Washington First United Methodist Church. He was survived by his wife, Janice S. Leavenworth, of Washington; one son, Dustin Turner, of Swainsboro; one daughter, Jessica Dooley (Jeremy), of Washingtonhis mother, Nettie Grace Leavenworth; one brother, Jay Leavenworth (Donna), of NC; two sisters, Lois L. Hollis (Jim), MI, and Carol L. Styrk (Gary), St. Louis, MO; one granddaughter, Layla Dooley, of Washington; a sister-in-law, Shela S. Lawson, Washington;mother-in-law, Mildred R. Peeler, Washington; a step mother-in-law, Ann T. Smith, Warrenton; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Hall officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning at the First United Methodist Church for one hour prior to the service (from 10:00am until 11:00am.). Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
