Dorothy Silvey Roth

Mrs. Dorothy Silvey Roth, 87, of Washington, entered into rest Wednesday evening, October 23, 2019, at Tignall House Assisted Living. Mrs. Roth was born April 25, 1932, in Rayle, Ga.She was the daughter of Terry and Fannie Mae Griffith Silvey, and was the wife of the late Wyman F. Roth.Mrs. Roth was a homemaker and kept children in her home for many years.She was a member of the Ficklen Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Roth is survived by one daughter, Wylene R. Harrison (Robert Brady), of Washington; one granddaughter, Lacey N. Goldman, and husband, Jeremy, of Washington; two great grandchildren, Hayden and Wyatt Goldman, both of Washington; one sister, Evelyn Jackson, of Sandersville; and a sister-in-law, Lois Silvey, of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyman F. Roth. Funeral services will be at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am Saturday morning, October 26, 2019, with Darrell Roth officiating. Interment will follow at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Garden.The family will receive friends Saturday morning at Hopkins Funeral home for one hour prior to the service (from 10-11am). Pallbearers will be Carlton Nunn, Tony Merritt, Charlie Merritt, Josh Goldman, Kyle Goldman and Tommy Roth.
