Mrs. Doris Jeanene Shockley Bailey, 73, of Oglethorpe County, died January 14, 2012 at her home.A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Georgia Painter Shockley.Mrs. Bailey was a retired caregiver.She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Bailey, a daughter, Sheila Lynn Avery, son Ricky Lee, granddaughter, Melissa King, great granddaughter, Jasmine Clemons and a brother, Gary Shockley. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 18th at 2pm in Resthaven Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Jeanene Avery, of Nashville, Tennessee; four sons, Terry Avery, Lexington, Rodney Avery, Lexington, Mike Avery, Lexington, Steven Bailey, Benton Harbor, Michigan; two sisters, Phyllis Jenkins and Wanda Vaughn; twelve grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
