Dora Elizabeth Gillispie Smith

Ms. Dora Elizabeth Gillispie Smith, 101, of Washington, entered into rest Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Southern Manor Assisted Living. Ms. Smith was born in Ft. Meade, Fla. to the late Sam and Mable Colley Gillispie, and was the widow of Lamar E. Smith. She had lived in Washington for the past ten years. She worked as a waitress, and retired from Red Lobster Restaurant. She was preceded in death by seven siblings: Olleita G. Mashburn, Teola G. Hollingsworth, Sammie Gillispie, Jr., Charles Gillispie, Carolyn G. Swartz, Ruby G. Moody, and Glenda G. Mullins. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Whitfield Funeral Home in Zephyrhills, FL. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Dora E. Gillispie Smith.
