Derrick Harris

Mr. Derrick Wade Harris, 43, of Tignall, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina.He was a native of Washington, the son of Layton and Gloria Tanner Harris.Mr. Harris was a mechanic and of the Baptist faith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 11th from 2:00 until 3:00 with a graveside service being held at 4:00pm in Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery. Revs. Paul Reviere and Chris King will officiate.Justin Harris, Evan Harris, Taylor Harris, Tristan Harris, Chris Mack and Roy Andrews will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include his parents, Layton and Gloria Harris, of Tignall; three daughters, Brittany Carstens, of Tignall, Laken Harris, of Greenwood, SC and Aubree’ Harris, of Elberton; one granddaughter, Harley Carstens, of Tignall; two brothers, Tracy Harris, of Elberton and Tony Harris, of Tignall; longtime companion, Tammi McDaniel; four nephews and one niece and several aunts and uncles.
