Dennis Craig Jones

Mr. Dennis Craig Jones,68,passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on April 4, 1952 in Augusta, GA to James Winton Jones and Margaret Katrina Jones. Mr. Jones loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Dennis started his career working at Continental Can Lumber Company in Washington in 1970-71.Moved on to sell Insurance with United Life Insurance.He retired from the IBM in Atlanta after 37 years of service. He was a member of Wilkes County Young Farmers, Peach State Travelers RV Club and Mt. View United Methodist Church.Mr. Jones enjoyed camping, playing the Guitars, tinkering with tools, fishing with his grandchildren, camping, and traveling with his wife and living life to the fullest. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Terri Jones, son, Craig Jones (Debbie), daughter, Jenny Veal (Todd), his grandchildren, Zach, Logan, McKenzie, and Nolan. He was preceded in death by his father, James Winton Jones, mother, Margaret Katrina Jones, and brother, Jimmy Darryl Jones. Memorial services will be at 11:00am on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Wynn officiating.
