Dana Lynn Waller Kitchens

Ms. Dana Lynn Waller Kitchens, 60, of Bartram Trace Rd., entered intorest on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Ms. Kitchens was born in Washington and had lived in Wilkes Co. for all of her life.She was the daughter of Milton and Caroline “Dot” Lunceford Waller.She was a 1979 graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School, and most recently worked as the produce Manager at Bell’s Grocery in Lexington, Ga., after having worked at the Washington Bi-Lo store for a number of years. She loved people, had an entertaining sense of humor and was a member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Kyle Kitchens, of the Tyrone Community; one brother, Charles Waller(Charlotte), of Washington; life companion for over 20 years, Louis Echols, of Washington; one nephew, Brandon Waller, of Washington; one niece, Mahlory Waller Wood (Shane), of Washington; and a large number of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00am on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the Phillips Mill Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Woods officiating.Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday morning at Phillips Mill Baptist Church from 10:00am until the time of the service. Pallbearers will be Mike Driggers, Brandon Echols, Brandon Waller, Clint Echols, Marty Echols, and Paul Mell. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Dana Lynn Waller Kitchens.
