Rev. Dale Fincher Rev. Dale Fincher, of Tignall, died June 13, 2009 inSouth Carolina.He was a native of Floyd County, the son of Curtis and Ernestine Arnold Fincher.Rev. Fincher was current pastor of Tignall Baptist Church in Tignall, Ga. and had previously pastored Mt. Alto Baptist, Rome, Mt. Pisgah Baptist, Kibbee and Pisgah Baptist, Rome.He did ministry at Penfield Christian Homes, and the Georgia Pre-Release Center and was a Wilkes County School bus driver.He had also served as Chaplain for Wilkes County Sheriff’s Dept. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 4:00pm in Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Standard, Rev. Albert Huyck and Rev. Kevin Hanel officiating.Interment will follow in Tignall Baptist Cemetery.Josh Fincher, Ronnie Futch, Bud Harrison, Homer Rivers, Chesley Hilton and Mike Sisson will serve as pallbearers.The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 until service time. Survivors include his wife of thirty six years, Kay Edwards Fincher; son and daughter in law, Josh and Lacey Fincher, Tignall, daughter, Julie Fincher, Tignall, granddaughter, Jade Fincher, Tignall; mother, Ernestine Fincher, Rome; brothers, Gary, Larry and Darrell Fincher, all of Rome; sister, Felicia Salmon, Marietta; mother in law, Janette Edwards, Rome; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Dykes Creek Baptist Church, 46 Dykes Creek Church Rd., N.E., Rome at 2:30pmThe family will receive friends from 1pm until service time in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penfield Christian Homes, 1061 Mercer Circle, Union Point, Ga. 30669-2205.
