Daisy Compton Green

Mrs. Daisy Compton Green, 92, of Washington, Georgia, entered into rest on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Southern Manor Senior Living Home.

Daisy was born on May 28, 1931, in Dungannon, Virginia to the late Garland Cecil and Zola Ann Crisp Compton.  She was the widow of the late Thomas Charles Green.

She had lived in Washington since moving here in 1971 and was a member of Washington First Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and an avid gardener.

Daisy is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Green Garson of Roswell, GA; one granddaughter, Paige Garson and fiance, Christopher Marotta of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Nell Castle of Kingsport, TN, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Washington Wilkes Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Hopkins Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter, 358 Brown Road, Washington, GA.
