Cheryl Ann Carlisle

January 16, 1956 — April 7, 2025

Cheryl Ann Faver Carlisle, age 69 a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at her residence in Washington, Georgia. Born on January 16, 1956, Cheryl lived a life full of love and dedication, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Cheryl was a proud graduate of Washington-Wilkes High School, Class of 1974. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family and friends. Her love knew no bounds, and her home was always filled with laughter and love.

Cheryl's memory will forever be cherished by her family, including her beloved 3 children: Michael Alan Fisher and wife Cheryl of Pendergrass, GA; Crystal Johnson Rowe and husband James of Lincolnton, GA; and Teresa Wolfe of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by two special brothers, Matthew Barfield and wife Janice of Centre, Alabama, and Hugh Hardcastle of Maplesville, Alabama. Cheryl shared a special bond with her special daughter, Susan Smoot of Carrollton, GA.

Her legacy continues through her nine treasured grandchildren: Austin Miller, Jaden Garmon, Shelby Collins, Megan Rowe, Hayley Callaway, Peyton Rowe, Hannah Johnson, Hayden Johnson, and Mathew Wolfe; and her five adored great-grandchildren: Hayzel Howard, Brynnleigh Rowe, Hank Howard, Armani Johnson, and John Wade Callaway.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Carlisle, and her devoted parents, Wyatte Rayle Faver and Thelma P. Faver.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Cheryl's life at a memorial service on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 2 PM, at Sardis Baptist Church in Rayle, GA. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Reverend Jim Newsome will officiate the ceremony, guiding us as we honor and remember Cheryl's life and the joy she brought into our lives.

Though she has left this earth, Cheryl Ann Carlisle’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hopkins Funeral Home in Washington, GA.
