Charles Peters

Charles Peters Mr. Charles Lee Peters, 83, of Washington, died June 19, 2010 at his home.He was a native of Monroe, Georgia, the son of the late Henry and Leavy Davis Peters.Mr. Peters was retired from Continental Can Company and of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Ann Carithers and a son, Billy Gene Peters. Funeral services will be Tuesday at Hopkins Funeral Home at 1pm with Rev. Al George officiating.Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.Robbie Carithers, Brandon Hopkins, Dan Dill, Dennis Harrison, Kevin Willis and Steve Parker will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Whitehead, Monroe, Susan Dill, Lincolnton, and Linda Hogan, Monroe; one brothers, Jimmy Peters, Monroe; two sisters, Ruby Word, Flowery Branch and Shirley Cooper, Statham; twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9pm at Hopkins Funeral Home.
