Charles Edgar Howell Washington:Mr. Charles Edgar Howell, 71, ofHallford Rd., died Wednesday morning at University Hospital. Mr. Howell was born in Crawfordville, GA, and was the son of the late Edgar and Evelyn Morris Howell.He was the husband of Reba Broome Howell, and was a data processing technician.He was a member of the Washington Prebyterian Church, where he served as an elder and trustee.Mr. Howell was U. S. Navy veteran. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 10:00am at the Washington Presbyterian Church.Interment will follow at Clifford Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Lyndon Broome, CharlieBroome, Johnny Broome, Johnny Edwards, Scotty Atkins, and Karl Luken. Honorary pallbearers will be Session Members of the Washington Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Reba Broome Howell, of Washington; two step-daughters, Sandra Stewart and Lisa Kelley, both of Washington; one adopted son, Chris Negrete, of Aiken, SC; one brother, Frank Howell, of Athens; ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Howell, son Gene Burdette, and by a sister,Mary Colgan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Presbyterian Church.
