Charles Glenn Gabriel

August 4, 1962 — October 30, 2023

Charles Glenn “Chuck” Gabriel, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 61 in Washington, Georgia. He was the son of Sam and Florence Bradley and the late Donald Gabriel. Chuck spent most of his life in his hometown, building a loving family and forming lasting relationships in his community.

Chuck graduated from Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School, where he made lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Following high school, he pursued a career as a truck driver.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chuck had a passion for the great outdoors. He found solace and joy in camping and fishing trips with his friends. Whether he was casting his line into a calm lake or sitting by a crackling campfire, Chuck was in his element. These adventures provided him with a sense of serenity and allowed him to foster deep connections with his loved ones.

Chuck touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a hardworking individual. His memory will continue to inspire and remind us of the importance of cherishing our loved ones and making the most of every moment.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Harper Gabriel, of Greensboro; two sons, Ash Gabriel and Alex Gabriel, both of Greensboro; his mother, Florence Ash Bradley, and husband Sam, of Washington; four sisters, Debbie G. Brown (Joey), of Iva, SC, Dawn G. Perry (Keith), of Winterville, Deedra B. Kilburn (Jeremy), of Monroe, and Phyllis Poole, of Sandersville;. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Bradley.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 6-8p.m. at Hopkins Funeral Home in Washington.

Funeral services will be 11:00a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Chapman officiating.The family will also receive friends at Victory Baptist Church a hour before the service. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clem Slaton, David Slaton, Robbie Bradley, Chad Safrit, Jimmy Harper, and Darrell Roth.
