Charles Leonard Danner

Mr. Charles Leonard Danner, 53, of Sandtown Rd., died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville. Mr. Danner was born in Washington and was the son of the late D. S. Danner, Jr. and Louise (Sis) Bumgardner Danner.He graduated from Georgia Southern College with a Bachelor Degree in Business.Leonard was a pawnbroker and had worked at the Company Store in Washington for a number of years.He was a Mason and a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #51 in Danburg, and was a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by one brother, D. S. (David) Danner III, of Washington; one sister, Kathy Danner, of Athens; and by a number of cousins. Graveside services will be at 11:00am Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Barry McAvoy officiating.Members of Hiram Masonic Lodge #51 will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday, December 8, 2017, from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home.
